Hypnoise Project
"St. Valentine's Porno Bar"
An album that talks about a different life style, human, absolutely not digital, simply natural.
"No digital contaminations at all, it's 100% pure analog."
This is the "business card" Hypnoise chooses to introduce us to their new musical project, a work against the new commercial strategies, a record to reproduce a different lifestyle where man and art are the only subjects, very far from the Frenetic rhythms of the modern society.
The band reminds us that "this is a concept in the concept" of the journey of Ceasar, leaving his past in search of a new life. He travels
until he finds a mystical place far from the plastic life and modern stress he has known. He descends into a world of decadence where he finally feels free enough to take off his social masks.
The journey ends when he ultimately finds peace and happiness in the purity of nature represented in the majesty of the Ocean.
The album was recorded in places that are the opposite of a modern recording studio. HYPNOISE tries to let us appreciate sounds, echoes and vibrations of places lost in time thanks to their talented producer from Los Angeles, Mr. Ronan Chris Murphy.
With the use of technologies and machines used in the late sixties, only four microphones were used, including a famous Neumann U47, reel to reel tape machines, echoplexes, just 8 tracks; Mr. Murphy lets us listen and appreciate the classic real sound of unique places like an old XVII century villa, a XII century old chapel lost in the Venetian country and themYsterious "calle" of Venice.
Fourteen tracks, 74 minutes of pure alternative rock with a strong foundation in the sound of the power trio where, an impressive amount of guitar riffs supported by a solid rhythm section is sometimes interrupted by voices of Venice, dialogue fragments coming from an old '35 Magnadyne Tube Radio; all of it enriched by strength and beauty of the International Gospel Messengers and the voice of Cheryl Porter plus other guests that appeared during the recordings.
Everywhere and everytime there's the sensation that a surprise is there just around the corner.
In order to provide complete satisfaction to customers here we go with an amazing surrealistic and frightening cover, the creation of art director Michele Gervasuti who was also the art director of Ms. Grace Jones at last PAVAROTTI AND FRIENDS.
Detailed black and white shots, exalting visionary and lunatic perspective views of this "St. Valentine's Porno Bar", designed by Federica Mattietto and obtained by placing classic furniture in an historic square of Venice made eternal by the 35mm camera of photographer Augusto Collini.
Thanks to Art Director Mr. Gervasuti, the album has been presented in 2006 St. Valentine's Day in London and Los Angeles.
An exclusive "Anti St. Valentine's Day Party" took place for the first time in London at the famous "Blacks Club" with special guests Mr. Sam Buxton and Sebastian Horseley and for the second time this year in Rome during the presentation of a new Hypnoise's videoclip "Love In Bathroom" featuring the work of movie director Umberto Rinaldi of Vocidentro Films.
